Welcome to Cette Petite Maison

My name is Carol-Ann and I am a maker and crafter of all kinds of things and with Cette Petite Maison (This Little House) I hope to share a little bit of my life here in the beautiful rural Quercy Blanc area of France and introduce you to some of my neighbours and their wonderful produce.

I am trying a embrace a simpler lifestyle, working towards sustainability so I am offering a small range of items, made, grown and harvested locally by neighbours and friends and I hope that the phrase Products with Provenance resonates.

If you would like to follow along, it would be lovely to have your company, just add your name and e-mail to Follow my Blog below, and I promise not to inundate you with too many posts.

Fabrics and Frills at Cette Petite Maison

Well now it has been a busy winter, short but busy as I have been setting up my new shop - Fabrics and Frills.

So exciting, I'm now selling gorgeous Westfalenstoffe Fabrics on-line from my Website www.fabrics-and-frills.com and also in person so if you happen to be in the area please don't hesitate to send me a message and we can set up a meeting where I can show you what I have in stock.

I am delighted to be able to offer these gorgeous 100% Cotton fabrics which are made in a small family run factory in Germany and are definitely what I call Cotton with a Conscience and this is what they say...

"These days, for many companies their own label “Made in Germany” has become no more than a sticker and only few still live the philosophy behind it. We at Westfalenstoffe, however, see ourselves as true ambassadors, who have been embodying the values this label represents for nearly 80 years.

Through the years, we’ve stayed true to our Westphalian roots and continue to provide steady jobs in the region. We also procure our materials from Germany whenever possible. Our company has been family-owned and -operated since the beginning, and we’ve always maintained personal contacts with you – our customers. For us, it’s just the right way to do things."

I concentrate on selling bundles of fabric called Fat Quarters - These are handy sized 48cm x 48cm pieces of Fabric put together in co-ordinated and curated sets that are used used by crafters and quilters and anyone who enjoys sewing.

I also make Covered Buttons using fabrics from the collections and I make Frou Frous which are flower shaped adornments that are used in all kinds of crafting creations.
